Grown for the day

We take on around twenty weddings a year, so each one gets the whole studio. We plan around what will be at its best that week, and we tell you honestly if the peonies you saw online will be over by August.

From £2,400 for an intimate ceremony. Most of our weddings fall between £4,500 and £9,000.

Stories from the year

Florists preparing table flowers
Walthamstow Pumphouse · September

Jane & John Doe

Forty guests at one long table under the old engine house. We ran dahlias, cosmos and copper beech the length of it, low enough to talk across, and built a rosehip arch at the door.

“People kept picking stems out of the table runner to take home. By midnight it was half the size.”
  • Dahlia ‘Bishop of Llandaff’
  • Cosmos bipinnatus
  • Fagus sylvatica
Pink roses in metal buckets
Islington Town Hall · June

Jane & John Doe

A registry morning and lunch at their favourite restaurant. A loose bouquet of garden roses and sweet peas, two buttonholes, and jam jars for the tables.

“The sweet peas still smelled of the garden at four in the afternoon.”
  • Rosa × centifolia
  • Lathyrus odoratus
  • Astrantia major
Pink dahlias in black buckets
A barn near Saffron Walden · October

Jane & John Doe

Two hundred guests and a hanging cloud of dried honesty over the dance floor, built over two days. The bouquet was pressed afterwards and now hangs in their hallway.

“Our parents still talk about the ceiling.”
  • Lunaria annua
  • Dahlia ‘Café au Lait’
  • Nerine bowdenii

How it works

Eight months, one morning

Most couples come to us eight to twelve months ahead. Late is fine too; we have done a wedding in eleven days.

  1. A first conversation

An hour at the studio or on a call. Bring pictures, fabric, anything. We will talk about the season and what is possible.

    Free
  2. Your proposal

A written plan with a botanical sketch of each piece, the stems we expect to use, and a clear price.

    Within 2 weeks
  3. Secure the date

A 25% deposit holds your date. We only take one wedding a weekend.

    8–12 months out
  4. Walking the fields

A month before, we visit the growers with you if you would like to see your flowers in the ground.

    4 weeks out
  5. The week of

Stems are cut on Wednesday, conditioned overnight and arranged on Thursday and Friday. We deliver, set up and clear away.

Your bouquet, pressed

Bring your bouquet back to the studio within three days. We take it apart stem by stem, press it for six weeks, and mount it on herbarium paper with each flower labelled by hand, its Latin name and your date beneath.

Included with every wedding over £4,500, or £280 on its own.
